Did this for an upcoming conference about the Toltekayotl and other mesoamerican codexes.
Toltekayotl is the name for the magical-spiritual-physical vision of the universe in all the ancient cultures. It's about balance and creation. It's about 'knowing you know nothing and start from there'.
This piece represents Kukulkan-Ketzalkoatl creating the Toltekayotl. He's painting the Ollin symbols, which represents the universe as space and time. From this symbol, four 'rays' go to the four directions of the earth world, each represented by it's color. In addition, Kukulkan is wearing a ceremonial necklace that has 9 pieces.
